Youth Schedule - Summer 2010
C 4 Programs

Youth Ministries that only emphasize discipleship and ministry, but neglect
worship and fellowship, become cold and academic. Youth Ministries that only
emphasize worship and fellowship but neglect discipleship and ministry (wisdom
and integrity) tend to be shallow and immature. Here at Youth On Fire Ministries
we purpose to have to have a balanced environment that is conducive to raising
young people who love to live their lives with purpose. We promote relationships that
communicate love and acceptance in a safe environment. We want relationships
that spur one another on toward the goal of Christ-like maturity. The apostle Paul
speaks of this in 1 Cor. 9:24-26 when he states, “… we run in such a way as to get
the prize…a prize that will last.” We want students to have confidence in themselves
and in their relationship with God.

Young People
Teens gathering weekly with their cluster of friends is a powerful way of Intentionally Ministering to Peers According to Christ’s Teachings. Please remember it is Christ-like maturity that we are working toward in the lives of students. The Church at Cornerstone Worship Center passionately desires to help students through the challenges of life and offer encouragement, love and biblical wisdom. This process takes faith, patience, and consistent interaction with students. The Holy Ghost will be our guide as we build others up in Jesus’ name.

Pulpit Ministry
The preaching at Cornerstone is centered on God's Word; likewise, the Youth Ministries have scripture- based teaching. Scripture leaves no doubt or
question that the Word of God must be central in bringing change to peoples' lives. "Only God's Word has real power in students’ lives." (Heb. 4:12) The Bible is the steadfast authority on which we live. We strive to teach both from the "pulpit" and on a one-on-one basis, the "faith and wisdom" of Christ-like living. We are striving to help teens make life choices based on God’s word.

Parents
We recognize that God gave parents/guardians the responsibility to raise their children and teach them the Truth from the Word of God. (Deut. 6:7) It is our goal to assist parents and teens in their God-given roles. We recognize parental authority in the home and are respectful of it. We strive to be consistent communicators with and between teens and parents. Parents are welcome to visit any meeting or youth activity.
